MARKETING

Marketing is not the art of selling what you make but knowing what to make. The art of identifying and understanding customer needs and creating solutions that delivers satisfactions to the customers, profits to the producers and benefits for the stakeholders.Marketing is not an event but a process. It has a beginning a middle, but never an end for it is a process.
You improve it perfect it change it,even pass it,change it,even pause it.But you never stop it completely. One marketing expert compared doing business without advertising to winking a beautiful lady in the dark.According to him while the business man know what he is doing no body else does.Inadvertently, the girl would not know. She is being winked at,but the winker is aware of his actions. How futile can an effort get?
For a company to grow from strength to strength the only source of climbing is through your aggressive marketing.Take for e.g if you have have new products in the market the only way for people to know how important such products are is by going on AGGRESSIVE PROMOTION, AGGRESSIVE MARKETING.
TYPES OF AGGRESSIVE MARKETING
1,Radio messages : A form of ADVERT
2,Use of BIG BILL BOARD : Using a good sign post is very important so far you comply to rules and regulations guiding them
3,Use of promotional PEN, T-SHIRT ,BOOK , etc: Engraving your company name on those items are very important as part of promotion.
4, Giving your STAFF (MARKETERS) TARGET: This involves giving them specific task each and every one of them must meet monthly.
AGGRESSIVE MARKETING IN NIGERIA BANKS
Such aggressive marketing is well know in NIGERIA BANKS.After the BANKS consolidation by the former CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR(Prof Soludo) All the banks became Strong, There is no more these are stronger banks.Because of this, competition sets in.
ADVANTAGES OF AGGRESSIVE MARKETING
1,It gives room for competion; With this all the compitetors will always have it in mine to improve on their services.
2,It prevents monopoly:Aggressive marketing prevents one company from monopolizing a particular sector.Take for e.g in my countary nigeria , the use of GSM started around 2000/2001.Then only two TELECOMS operators were given lissence to operate. Three years later, more companies got their licence also. The first thing the new operators did was to drop
their tariff as part of their AGGRESSIVE MARKETING others were force to drop theirs in order not to loss customers
3 Staff Promotion: Companies use it as a way of promoting their staff the person with the best RECOMMENDATION grow faster in rank.
Aggressive marketing is the back bone of any company to grow.As a matter of facts what determines performance of any company, organization, etc is their MARKETING method.Even if your company offer the best services, but without adequate aggressiveness in marketing that services he offers will never be know. This is the PIVOT of any company to grow.

ATTRACTS HIGHER PROFITS

Aggressive marketing leads to higher output  in profit. If a company  uses good aggressive marketing it will affect its company's profit. You can get this by using the right aggressive serous trained staff.Take for e.g, aggressive marketing in Nigeria banks as narrated before any staff that did not meet his TARGET may  be sacked from the company. But when 90% meet up their target then at the end of the year the profit out will be high. This is also common with other companies that are into marketing and sales job.HIGHER PROFIT is answer to good aggressive marketing.

ENOUGH AGGRESSIVE MARKETING

How aggressive are you in the marketing job?Always look for a way to improve on your aggressiveness in the job. Change your method of approach to your customers, add new comments on how to tackle customers needs, prove with e.gs.Be aggressive

Is Your Marketing Aggressive Enough?

by Charlie Cook
Cathy, a business writer, emailed me and said, “Boy, do I need to work on my Web site this year!” I gave her a couple of ways to improve her site and had her look at several websites that sell effectively on the Internet. Her response was a common one; she thought those sites were marketing aggressively and she worried about turning her prospects off with a “hard sell”.
Are you concerned about being too aggressive with your small business marketing?
No one in business wants to be seen as the stereotypical used car salesman, who tries to sell you a lemon by claiming the car was owned by a little old lady who never drove it. And are prospects really convinced by promises that are too good to be true? “Start your own business and make $200,000 in just two weeks!” Then there are the salespeople who drive everyone crazy with their annoying cold calls at dinner time…
You could try the “soft sell” approach; in your marketing materials, simply state your company’s name and include a list of the products or services you sell. This is a very common approach. But it doesn’t work. It’s true that if you’re too loud or annoying, you may scare your prospects away, but if you’re too subtle or you sound the same as the competition, no one will ever read your materials.
Let me clear up one misperception right away.
Aggressive marketing does not mean deceiving your prospects or deliberately pestering them. Don’t make claims that you can’t back up, and don’t annoy your prospects. You want them to become satisfied clients, after all.
When you think of aggressive small business marketing you may think of being aggressive as “showing a readiness or having a tendency to attack or do harm to others”. Instead, think of aggressive marketing as “characterized by or exhibiting determination, energy, and initiative”. (Definitions from Encarta)
When people read your marketing materials, your sales letters or your web site, you want to grab their attention, to impress them and to prompt them to contact you and buy from you. To get attention and do well, you need an aggressive marketing approach that demonstrates your determination, energy, and initiative.
Remember your school days. If you sat in the back of the class and never raised your hand, never asked a question or participated in discussions, it was tough to get top grades. No matter how smart you are or how good you are at what you do, if you don’t let your prospects know how you can help them and convince them of your credibility, you won’t get their business.
You want the people reading your sales letters or visiting your web site to contact you, get to know you, see you as the expert to rely on and buy from you. It’s reasonable to expect at least one out of ten web site visitors to contact you.
Some of my clients are getting one out of five site visitors to contact them. If you’re not getting that kind of response, chances are that you’re not being aggressive enough in your marketing.
